How can this site be entirely free when I have to pay to use other dating sites? What's the catch?
There's no catch. This website was designed from the ground up to be free. We support it via advertising. If you like using
the site, tell your friends about us.
Can I cancel any time?
No, once you're signed up, we have you for life! Just kidding. Of course you can cancel any time. You can delete your account or
temporarily suspend it. We hope the reason you're leaving us is because you made a connection through datecetera.com

We're always looking for feedback and suggestions on how to make datecetera.com better. To give us your feedback, go to the
feedback board in the forums. We'll take a look at all suggestions and implement it if it makes sense and as time allows.
We can't guarantee your suggestion will be implemented.
What is the difference between 'tell your friends about us' and 'refer a friend'?
If you go to the 'tell your friends about us' area, it just fires off an email to let your friend know about this dating site.
If you go to and fill out the 'refer a friend' area, you are creating a temporarily profile for your friend to look at and approve.
What is the link exchange?
The link exchange program is an open invitation to bloggers and other websites to exchange a link with us. If you're interested, here's how it works -
we ask you to do a writeup about datecetera.com and show a link on your website back to datecetera.com. Email us and let us know

Members with photos in their profile get 10 times more attention than those without photos. So don't be shy, make use
of that digital camera or webcam.
What does suspend my account mean? How and why would I do that?
Suspending an account means putting it on hiatus/hibernation. When you suspend your account, it is no longer searchable
by members and members will not be able to contact you. You might suspend your account if you're going on holidays or
if you've found someone you want to date and see where it leads. A suspended account can be re-activated any time.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your profile, go to 'My Profile' - 'My Preferences' and click on the 'Delete My Profile' link.

We can email your password to you. Just give us the email that is currently in your account (most likely the email you
gave us when you signed up). Click here to go the password recovery page

Click on Mailbox on the main menu.
Can I send external emails throught datecetera.com's message center?
No, the datecetera.com email system is only internal to the site. You can only use this message center to contact
other members within the site - you cannot use it to send external emails.
How do I lock out a member from emailing me?
To lock out and prevent a member from emailing you, access the member's profile and click on the 'Add to Lockouts' link. You
can see the list of people you've locked out in your message center, under 'Lists'.
Forums
Why can't I post to the forums?
You can view the forums without registering for the site. But to post to it, you have to be a registered member. It
takes just minutes to register here
How do I create my user id for the forums?
You don't need to create a separate ID. Once you register for datecetera.com, you're also registered for the forum.
How do I log in to the forums?
If you sign in the the datecetera.com, you will automatically be logged in to use the forums too.
Searches
How come I can't find any singles in my town/city?
DateCetera.com was just recently launched. If there are no results in your search, it is because the singles in your
town haven't discovered our great service. Sign up here and also let all your single friends know about us.
